Experience the magic of the horse through Pegasus Ranch.

Cowgirl jumping obstacle with miniature horsePegasus Ranch is a place for children of all ages to engage in the wonderful world of the horse, developing horsemanship and life skills, while in awareness of personal gifts.

When working with our miniature horses, you will learn key aspects of the horse and horsemanship through hands-on exercises, become aware of your intuition and your unique gifts and life skills.

Your instructor, Sherry Dreger, has over 25 years experience in training, teaching and learning about the horse. She has over five years of instructor and coordinator experience in therapeutic riding programs, and combines all this with CTI co-active coaches training to facilitate a higher level of understanding in the student.

Miniature Horse Training Programs

Pegasus Ranch provides a safe environment to learn and enhance natural abilities and awareness through horsemanship while working with miniature horses. Our Equine Teachers – Satin, Levi, Pepper and TJ, along with their donkey friend Vinny – teach young people about horse management, care and training, along with compassion, personality styles, life skills and self-awareness.

Group Visits

Available June through October, we accommodate as few as 4 and up to as many as 10 children. (Larger groups can be accommodated upon request.) We ask that there be one adult supervisor for every two children attending. Helmets and full shoes/boots required at all times.

Basic Schedule of Activities include:

  • Safety around horses
  • Get to know horse personality… What’s YOUR personality?
  • How to brush and groom a horse
  • How to lead a horse
  • Going over obstacles
  • Wagon ride pulled by miniatures
  • Treasure hunt (optional)

Day Camps

July & August

Maximum 4 students per day. Learn about horsemanship and grooming through hands-on exercises. Discover how energy works, your own energy and that of your horse. Review safe behavior around horses, and how to remain safe while working with your horse. Lead your horse on the outdoor trail, work through and over obstacles and even harness up your horse for a cart ride. At the day’s end, you get to show your parents what you learned, and go on a treasure hunt.
